We live in Shelby County and have been shopping a while for the perfect home. We decided to go to Atkinson Homes to see what they might have. We passed dealers on Highway 280 that looked like they had a temporary sign up and then one dealer that had no sign. My husband which was a general contractor with the State of Alabama stated he would not buy from a “FLY BY NIGHT” company. Once we arrived at Atkinson Homes their presentation of their dealership and the homes is unbelievable. After we were greeted by the staff we knew this was the place to buy. Very professional and the staff was very knowledgeable about their homes and financing. After we found the perfect home we set down with them and placed our order. After 5 weeks they shipped our gorgeous home to us and were very happy with everything.

We just purchased our new manufactured home in June, 2010 from Atkinson Homes. We shopped around for a couple of months and other retail dealerships could not give us an estimated payment on the home we were thinking about purchasing. After dealing with the dealership it was to much hassle and confusion that is when we decided to shop around. After hearing great things about Atkinson Homes we decided to check them out. OH MY GOSH!!!! What a great place to buy. They gave me an estimated monthly payment, how much down I needed and what the bank would loan me within 15 minutes. Once we were informed of the payments and loan amount we ended up buying our DREAM HOME from Atkinson Homes! We fell in love with the home we purchased and not to mention it came with a 7 year warranty.
It has been three weeks since we moved in our new home and absolutely love it. Thank you Atkinson Homes for making the process of home buying so easy!!!

“Don’t go through what we went through – Choose Atkinson Homes.”
We have lived in our Manufactured Home that we purchased from the staff at Atkinson’s for three years now! I can honestly say that this bunch people did a WONDERFUL job helping us purchase our home! Not only were they very down to earth and caring but they wasted no time doing what they said they would do and helping us in any way they could!
We had issues with another group of mobile home sellers who had wasted three months of our time and kept our deposit for that entire three months- refusing to return it because they were “still working on it.” When we met the staff at Atkinson, we were at wits end!! We were ready to throw our hands up and forget it! They took us in and within a couple of weeks we were moving in!!! (We already had bank approval- so it may take longer if you don’t, I’m not sure.) If you are looking for GOOD PEOPLE to buy from- STOP HERE FIRST! Don’t waste your time on other places- trust ME! Our home is still beautiful and our hearts will always be thankful that we met them! Oh and we did finally get our deposit back from those other people- but only after threatening to call the local news:) Don’t go through what we went through- Choose Atkinson Homes in Childersburg, Alabama- FIRST!!!
